The Syracuse Northeast Community Center‘s (SNCC) mission is to “work with area residents to provide services and programs that address the changing needs and interests of the city’s north/northeast neighborhoods.” Among their programs are a suite of family support services, including the Basic Needs Emergency Food Pantry that supplies both families and individuals with 3 days worth of groceries and personal care items.
In trend with our city’s “paint night” events, SNCC invites the community to “Paint Away Poverty,” an opportunity to support the Basic Needs Food Pantry and create a painting with the instruction of artist Casey Landerkin. Tickets are $45 in advance and available here. Your ticket includes all painting supplies, plus seasonal food and drink. Seats are limited. For more details, visit SNCC’s Facebook invite.
