Have your say in the design, construction and installation of a canopy for the pocket park on the 700 block of North Salina Street. On Saturday, January 30 from 11am-1pm at the Assisi Center (800 N. Salina St, entrance on Catawba) there will be a design meeting for the shade canopy that will be installed at the entrance of the pocket park on the 700 block of North Salina Street (recently cleaned up and filled with gardens by the Northside Collaboratory). At this meeting we will review two different approaches to the canopy design and brainstorm how to move the project forward. This meeting will be a good opportunity for anyone interested in the project to learn about it, participate in the design, and find out about more opportunities for participation.
The design will be on exhibit from mid-February through March across the street from the park at Craft Chemistry (745 North Salina Street).
