Curator Talk on the Hidden Collections Project
Join the free curator talk focusing on the Hidden Collections initiative, scheduled for Saturday, August 12 at 12:00 p.m. Erie Canal Museum Curator Ashley Maready will provide an overview and update on this project, through which they are cataloging and digitizing more than 600 cubic feet of historic Canal artifacts. This project, which is now in its fourth year and includes items from the Erie Canal Museum and the Canal Society of New York State, has yielded some fascinating finds.
The Digitizing Hidden Special Collections and Archives project is made possible by grants from the Council on Library and Information Resources, the Institute for Museum and Library Services, the Delmas Foundation and other donors.
