FOCUS on Youth Employment
KNOW A KID WHO WANTS A SUMMER JOB? HAVE A NEED FOR SUMMER WORKERS? KEEP OUR YOUTH PRODUCTIVE AND PAID WITH SUMMER JOBS
Each summer Syracuse City Parks and Recreation Department and Onondaga County Parks employ teens as lifeguards, musicians, recreation workers and much more in what may be their very first job. The next F.O.C.U.S. Forum explores the employment process for summer jobs. Andrea Hahn of CNY Works will discuss how that agency helps employers find seasonal workers and helps young workers gain the skills they need. Learn how our youth can get to work and gain valuable experience at the next F.O.C.U.S. Forum.
Join the discussion 7:30 to 8:45 a.m., Friday April 21, in the Atrium of City Hall Commons, 201 E. Washington St. Stop in for some early morning coffee, and you’ll still be able to get on your way before 9 am.
